(Hosea 4:6) “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.”
Jesus was in a boat in the water speaking
parables in Mark chapter four
He was teaching about seed being sown
to the large crowd on the shore
He spoke to them in parables not all
would understand nor take heed
About the man who went out teaching
the word and likened it to seed
He said at first seed was dropped on this
man’s path eaten up by the birds
Some he dropped on stony ground without
soil (they did not take his words)
So when the sun came up the next morning
bright and hot they withered away
To me this says their understanding of His
Words; fell on deaf ears that day
Some dropped in thorn bushes with briers
so thick it choked to get not any rain
It suffocated seed that had landed there so
there could never be a single grain
Some fell on ones who with real joy wanted
to receive this seed of word very well
Yet when trouble or persecution came along
they couldn’t take so they all fell
They endured for a little while with the word
not sown in their heart right away
Offended, displeased, indignant and resentful
wanting pleasures; come what may
Some come in to choke the word to bring in
what is not true; fruitless they become
Not being really Christians so having no root
to their seed; false witnesses to some
Kingdom of God is like man who scatters
seed on the ground and goes to bed
While he's sleeping the work he's done will
sprout and multiply from what he said
Like a grain of mustard seed the smallest
of all; to become very greatest to be
Ones who love Him know, love and obey
this man; who walked upon the sea

“The Lukewarm church” is the church of today
This is the church the Lord will spew out of his mouth. Because they are “self-satisfied” believers, they will be rejected from his presence.

Yes jesus spoke in parables to confuse the too high minded and intellectual , some who did and do not understand his parables have twisted them into their own way to live their wicked lives.
Thinking that they are RIGHT even if they don't agree with God's word 100% making excuses to be partizans with others while God look at them with a scorn for he said if you really love Me you will keep my commandments and do as i say.
We must not only be hearers of the word but also doers
I couldn't say it better Jojo, what this world needs is more young people like you and I would hate to be one who would ever mistreat or ever stand in the way of one so dedicated; to know certainly God is watching and what a dangerous game people play to bring down God's children, I never thought to see it.

Thanks for stopping by Daniyyel and it is true you can't know what is in my heart and I can't see in yours as to how true we are in our love to God, He must be the judge of that but we have God's word and if He says it is wrong and has let us know all to do in His very long and repeated scriptures, all we need to do is read and follow His word. Ones who say a wrong is OK is causing damnation to ones they tell it to and not only that are damned themselves and I do not say that from hate at all. If anyone can show me scriptures to disprove anything I say I wish they would. It is thus sayeth God that I go by not thus sayeth Polly. I would fear God to ever misquote God. The subject here has been made very abundantly clear I would think with a place being destroyed because of a sin...one that many here says is OK, one thing I can do is read even if I didn't have the Holy Spirit of God for guidance, which I do.
Your right Polly if they had much like me i guess the world would have been better. But people don't have time for God, they find time to revel and engage in sin. This weekend coming up in my country throughout next tuesday midnight would be carnival. Thousands of tourist fly from all over the world to see Mas/carnival. Trinidad and Tobago is know for the best carnival globally.
It's the most vulgar and nasty show on earth, where women wear tongs and almost no bra or none at all and girate themselves in the most ridiculous manners.
Winning and jamming up on all kind of me, many are pregnant after this, some throw away the babies and don't ask for increase of AIS, HIV and vinerial diseases.
People allow the devil to take them pver and become so loose is a total shame. I am praying that God do something special one of these carnivals to shake them.
I feel that way about adult places we have in the US and the same ones that might agree with me never look at what their own children are seeing on TV or even at the movies. I was so shocked years ago at the sweetest little movie ET, they just had to have a young child use vulgar language for the rating they wanted I guess and I think that should have been against the law. Our carnival and fairs are all clean and good though as far as I know. It is what our children are having slipped to them in the parents own sight I worry about but people (even my daughter) does not care and thinks it is all OK, that hurts me so bad and she only laughs at me. We know she will not be laughing one day but to take those children with her no words do I have to express. I hope you listened to the little girl sing, so very beautiful.

Excellent parable, and the word was spoken to many and the word perished. They didn't take heed. People go to church on Sunday and Monday they forget that they went. I am a Sunday School Teacher, and I try to give hope from the scriptures to the kids. They watch too much TV and they are not getting enough wisdom, or moral upbringing. It is a sad situation that we are today.
